** UPDATE 13th April 2023**

Thank you to all reviewers and submitters who provided comments on the draft SQIDEP Laboratory Pathway protocol [draft version 1.2]. We have received great feedback and comments from across the Industry. This is to confirm that we have now closed the avenue and portal for feedback (after 4 months) and are collating all responses. The final protocol will be published in due course, within the next couple of months, following endorsement by the Board of Stormwater Australia.

Dear Stormwater Professionals,

Thank you for your excellent feedback on the laboratory based pathway for SQIDEP. We will close the feedback portal at Easter and bring the final version through to the Stormwater Australia board for final approval shortly after.

It is acknowledged that the protocol cannot be all things to all people. However, I strongly believe we must put the differences of opinions down and continue to move forward in a nationally unified way. The protocol has been overseen by myself and contains suggestions from many of the best minds in the country and internationally. Those who have worked on this have done so with no other thought but to help the industry have more certainty, an easier way to test for compliance and to follow international norms.

I hope that it will allow easier testing of manufacturers' products and help local councils and state government bodies to have confidence in these products when verified. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Although SQIDEP has been a large topic for discussion, I believe it is a very small part of our future success. We must look to increasing pollution prevention and removal from existing infrastructure through a suite of policies and infrastructure.

Kind Regards,
